The Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MiMIT) has initiated a public consultation concerning the “Strategy for the Attraction of Industrial Investments in Data Centers within the Italian Territory” (the “Strategy”), drafted in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE), the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), and the Department for Digital Transformation.
The Strategy constitutes a guidance document intended to direct, in a more effective, efficient, sustainable, and economically advantageous approach, the siting and development of Data Centers across the national territory and contribute to the establishment of a competitive ecosystem within the sector.
The document is structured into five chapters, starting from a concrete analysis of both the national and international territory, go on to outline industrial policy measures aimed at promoting new investments and identifying the most prominent areas for sectoral development.
Any interested party in the Strategy may submit comments and observations by August 16.
SI – Studio Inzaghi is available for any further clarification or in-depth analysis.
